This helps us correctly plan the foundation and ensure the stability of the fence for years to come. The work proceeds in the following sequence:

1. Excavation and Foundation The first stage involves excavating the earth for the foundation. This is the base of the entire structure; therefore, the dimensions of the trench must strictly correspond to the project specifications.

2. Formwork and Reinforcement (Rebar) A wooden or metal formwork is prepared and secured, defining the final shape and geometry of the fence. Steel reinforcement (12-16 mm rebar) is placed inside the formwork, creating the “skeleton” of the fence and ensuring its structural strength.

3. Concrete Pouring High-quality concrete is used (B20 grade is recommended). The pouring is carried out in stages:

First, the foundation (base) is poured.

Then, the upper parts are constructed, including the pillars and beams (rigels). Following this technological sequence guarantees that the fence will withstand both mechanical and natural impacts.

Standard Dimensions and Technical Parameters

Under standard conditions, the parameters of a monolithic fence are individual; however, there are accepted norms used in most projects:

Foundation Depth: 60–100 cm (depending on soil freezing depth and geology).

Foundation Width: 30–50 cm.

Fence Height: For private homes and villas, the optimal height is 1.7–2.0 meters.

Distance Between Pillars: 2.5–3 meters.

In most cases, the fence is secured with an upper horizontal belt (coping beam), which adds extra rigidity to the structure. The final dimensions of the pillars and the belt are selected based on the project design and load requirements.

How Much Does it Cost to Build a Monolithic Fence?

As described in this article, many factors determine the cost of building a monolithic fence.
